    VICTORIA, B.C. (September 20, 2016) – The 2016 Pacific Links Bear Mountain Championship will get underway this Friday morning at Bear Mountain Golf Resort’s Mountain Course, with 81 of the top players on PGA TOUR Champions competing for one of the year’s top purses of US$2.5 million.

    Headlining one of the strongest fields of the 2016 PGA TOUR Champions season are World Golf Hall of Fame members Bernhard Langer, Vijay Singh, Colin Montgomerie, Mark O’Meara and Tom Kite.

    Langer, who currently leads the Charles Schwab Cup standings with $2,432.659 in 2016 earnings, has put forth one of the strongest seasons in Tour history at the age of 59, with four wins – including major championship victories at the Regions Tradition and Constellation SENIOR PLAYERS Championship earlier this year.

    Gordy Scutt Shoots Two-under In Final Round To Win The 2016 TaylorMade & adidas Golf PGA of BC Championship At Royal Colwood Golf Club In Victoria

    Gordy Scutt, who teaches at the nearby Olympic View GC, started the day at one-over. He was among twenty players who were within three shots of first round leader Luke Bogdan of Ledgeview Golf Club in Abbotsford who had opened with a one-under 69.

    Scutt, who won the Championship when it was held at Point Grey Golf and Country Club in 2014, got off to a good start for day two at the 103 year-old AV Macan designed course.

    On a day when first-round co-leaders Dustin Johnson and Henrik Stenson fell back to earth, two of golf’s Young Guns seized the second-round lead at the U.S. Open.

    Patrick Reed and Jordan Spieth now lead at Chambers Bay with a (-5) score of 135. Reed, who started the day one stroke out of the lead, had a roller coaster round of 5 birdies, 6 bogeys and an eagle at the 284-yard par-4 12th for his second-round 69.

    Reed made his move with four birdies in his first 11 holes and looked set to be sole leader after a birdie on the 16th hole had him at (-6). But a bogey on the 18th brought Reed back into a tie with Spieth and sets up a marquee final pairing on Saturday.

    MARCH 12, 2019 - RICHMOND, BC (PGA of British Columbia) – The PGA of BC will conduct eight championship events across four of the Association’s geographic regions in 2019, once again providing a variety of avenues for its member Golf Professionals to compete amongst each other and alongside amateurs from their respective facilities.

    This year’s schedule includes an event taking place in the Kootenays region, which will mark the first time one of the PGA of BC’s active championships has been held in the eastern portion of the province since 2000.   • PGA TOUR Announces 2025 PGA TOUR Americas Schedule - Including Two Stops In B.C.

    PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Florida – (December 16, 2024)  - The PGA TOUR announced the 2025 PGA TOUR Americas schedule, which features 16 tournaments contested across eight countries, beginning in March and culminating in September at the Fortinet Cup Championship contested at Morgan Creek Golf Course in Surrey, British Columbia and where Korn Ferry Tour membership will be awarded to the top 10 finishers on the season-long Fortinet Cup standings.

    For the second consecutive season, the top 10 players in the final Fortinet Cup standings will earn Korn Ferry Tour membership for the 2026 season. A $225,000 USD purse will be contested for at each of the 16 events, totaling a $3.6 million USD pot for the season. Additionally, a $100,000 bonus pool will be shared among the top 10 players, with $25,000 awarded to the points leader, courtesy of Fortinet.

  • PGA TOUR Announces Formation Of PGA Tour Americas

    PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Florida – PGA TOUR Latinoamérica and PGA TOUR Canada will merge into a singular Tour to form PGA TOUR Americas, which will begin play in February 2024, the PGA TOUR announced today.

    PGA TOUR Americas will consist of 16 events contested across Latin America, Canada and the United States from February through September. The top 10 finishers on the season-long points list will earn Korn Ferry Tour membership for the following season.

    (June 19, 2019) PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Florida – The PGA TOUR and Korn Ferry (NYSE: KFY) announced today a 10-year agreement making the Los Angeles-based, global organizational consulting firm the Umbrella Sponsor of the newly named Korn Ferry Tour.

    In replacing Web.com, Korn Ferry’s sponsorship takes effect June 19 and extends through the 2028 season. The Korn Ferry Tour will continue to award PGA TOUR membership to the Tour’s 50 leading players, including the top 25 from the Regular Season points list and the top 25 from the three-event Korn Ferry Tour Finals points list.
