2025 Board of Directors
Shauna Wilton, President
An avid recreational golfer, Shauna is currently the VP of Event Operations at the PNE. In her 20+ year career she has been a trusted advisor and leader in both the public and private sectors including 4 years as the Deputy General Manager of the Vancouver Park Board. She has volunteer and board experience at the local and national level and is a life-long participant in sport.
Greg Moody, Immediate Past President
Greg is a retired business owner in North Vancouver. He is a 38-year member of Seymour Golf Club, a nationally certified, level three rules official, and a long-term active member of the Zone 4 committee. As Chair of the Zone Council, Greg joined the board of British Columbia Golf in 2019. He has also served on the Championship & Finance Committees.
Kris Jonasson, Ex-Officio
The Chief Executive Officer of British Columbia Golf, Kris has been in the position of CEO (previously designated as Executive Director) for the BCGA since 1996. Prior to joining the association, he spent five years as a Tournament Official with the Canadian Professional Tour. Kris is an active member of the board and treasurer of the Allied Golf Association. He is also a past president of the IAGA (International Association of Golf Administrators)
David Lee-Fay, Director

Erin Mathany, Director
With a track record as the Senior Vice President of Marketing at the Vancouver Whitecaps Football Club, Erin has also been instrumental in the transformation of the Canada Games brand as well as being a leader in driving the commercial advancement of the Olympic Movement in Canada. A golfer since age 9, and current member of the Langara Wednesday Women’s Club, Erin held the role of Communications coordinator at Golf Canada in 2004-05. Gillian McCombie, Director
A golfer since the age of 11, Gillian is a Senior strategic Human Resources professional with over 24 years of experience in both the mining and telecom industries. She started her career in the mining industry with Placer Dome Inc. During her time at Placer she worked across six different countries at the operational, corporate and international levels. Kathryn Teneese, Director
Kathryn Teneese is a citizen of the Ktunaxa Nation and currently serves as the Nation Chair. She has dedicated much of her life to public service, holding various leadership roles within the Ktunaxa Nation and at the provincial level with several Indigenous organizations. While she has spent most of her life in the Ktunaxa homeland in southeastern BC, she also lived in the Lower Mainland for 17 years. Kathryn was introduced to golf while living in the Lower Mainland and became a member of the Cranbrook Golf Club upon returning to Cranbrook in 1999. She has been actively involved at the club, zone, and provincial levels, both as a player and volunteer.
Nonie Marler, Director
Nonie Marler has over 20 years of experience in business and real estate, having worked in the Vancouver, Toronto, and London (UK) markets. She currently serves as an Associate Vice President at Colliers’ Vancouver office, specializing in investment sales and leasing acrossBritish Columbia. An avid tournament golfer, Nonie competes at a high level across North America. She is a twotime BC Women’s Mid-Amateur Champion (2020, 2022) and a 2020 Ontario Women’s Mid- Amateur Champion.
Hugh Wong, Director
Hugh attended the University of British Columbia where he obtained his teaching certification (BEd). As President, Volleyball Canada (2007-13), Hugh’s focus on strategic leadership was pivotal in turning Volleyball Canada into a financially sustainable organization. SportBC honoured Hugh with the Darryl Thompson award in 2016. In 2005, he became a full member at the Kelowna G&CC and golf is now the dominant leisure activity in Hugh's life.
Sam Oliphant, Director
Sam is a Senior VP and Partner at Kirk & Co., a Vancouver-based consulting firm specializing in strategic communications, consultation, and engagement. Between 2013 and 2016, Sam served as Press Secretary in the Office of the Premier of British Columbia. Sam's career golf highlight was playing on the team that won the Pro-Am Championship at the 2016 Pacific Links Bear Mountain Championship.
Ruth Chapman, Chair - Zone Council/Representative to The Board
Ruth has been with the board since April of 2025 now taking on the role of Zone Committee Chair.
Michael Cook, Director
Michael spent many years involved with law enforcement as a corrections officer at the Vancouver Island Regional Correctional Centre and also held security roles at various venues. He's put together a strong volunteer record including time as a youth basketball coach, Cub and Scout leader and supporter of the Firefighter's Burn Fund of Victoria. During this stretch he has been a constant contributor to the game of golf in British Columbia with BC Golf Zones 5 and 6 junior programs and has been a BC Golf Rules official since 2009.
Brent Lindberg, Chair/Zone Council
Brent has a long association with British Columbia Golf and is a certified rules official as well as being the Zone 3 Chair, Sr. Championship Chair and current Chair of the Finance Committee. Brent is a golf course owner/operator having been Director of Operations & Administration with Tall Timber GC for 30 years and more recently has become involved with 18 Pastures Golf Course.
