Reigning British Columbia Juvenile Boy’s Golf champion AJ Ewart is continuing to make waves in the world of golf.

Less than a month after winning at Spallumcheen Golf & Country Club in Vernon, Ewart won the AJGA Sunriver Junior Open in Oregon and competed in the Duke of York Cup in Kent, England.

From the shores of Lake Geneva to the fairways of Rio de Janeiro, the world’s top women golfers had a taste of what to expect in 2016 when they paid a visit to the Olympic Museum and IOC Headquarters ahead of the Evian Championship.

Seven golfers from five continents, all with aspirations of going to the 2016 Rio Olympics, played a nearest to the pin contest before taking a guided tour of the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland and posing in front of the Olympic Flame.

Shanshan Feng (China), Julieta Granada (Paraguay), Fabienne In-Albon (Switzerland), Caroline Masson (Germany), Paula Reto (South Africa), Alena Sharp (Canada) and Maria Uribe (Colombia) were all inspired to realize their own Olympic dreams as they learned about past records and heroes.

MEDICINE HAT, Alta – Jack Hall of Savannah, Ga., shot 7-under par through three rounds to claim the 2015 Canadian Men’s Senior Championship at Desert Blume Golf Club in Medicine Hat, Alta.

Hall, 58, battled through rainy conditions on Friday to shoot 1-over par 73 to claim a narrow one-stroke victory that was not decided until the final hole.

“There are three big international tournaments that Americans look forward to playing in, one’s the British, one’s the Canadian and one’s the U.S. Senior Amateur. To have one on my resume is there forever and I enjoy it – love it,” said Hall, who captured his first international title.

Victoria, B.C. – Brent Wilson of Cobble Hill, B.C. shot a final round 1-under-par 70 to come from behind and win the 31st Pacific Northwest Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship.

The 54-hole stroke-play championship was held on the Valley Course at the Westin Bear Mountain Resort in Victoria, B.C., and was conducted by the Pacific Northwest Golf Association (PNGA).

Erik Hanson of Kirkland, Wash., and Rob Olson of Victoria, B.C. will head into the final round of the 31st Pacific Northwest Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship in a tie for the lead at two-under-par 140 after round two.

The Championship, taking place at Bear Mountain Golf Resort’s Valley Course is a 54-hole competition and is being conducted by the Pacific Northwest Golf Association (PNGA).

The opening round of the 31st Pacific Northwest Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship was held yesterday, September 1st, at Victoria, B.C.’s Bear Mountain Golf Resort on their Valley Course. The 54-hole championship is being conducted by Pacific Northwest Golf Association and concludes on Thursday, September 3rd.

Sean Fallows of Edmonds, Wash., Michael McAleer of Vancouver, B.C., and Craig Doell of Victoria, B.C. share the lead after the first round at three-under-par after each posted scores of 68 on the par-71 Valley Course.

The following message was sent out by Tom Cade, the president of the Pacific Northwest Golf Association (PNGA) to address the tragic loss of Jamie Fay, the Assistant General Manager at Chambers Bay, host of this year's U.S. Open championship. 

Jamie Fay succumbed to injuries sustained when a tree fell onto his vehicle during the windstorm this past weekend. The PNGA along with many other golf associations including British Columbia Golf want to express their most sincere condolences to Jamie Fay's wife and family following this terrible accident.

PORTLAND, Ore. – Hannah O’Sullivan, 17, of Chandler, Ariz., won the 2015 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship at Portland Golf Club, earning a 3-and-2 victory over Sierra Brooks, 17, of Sorrento, Fla.

After trailing by three holes through 15, O’Sullivan steadily inched closer, cutting the deficit to 1 down at the 18-hole break, squaring the match through 23 holes, taking the lead on the 24th hole and making a 4-foot par putt on the 34th green to seal the victory.

PORTLAND, Ore. –Brooke Henderson captured her first LPGA victory in style, cruising to an eight-shot victory at the Cambia Portland Classic.

“It’s amazing,” Henderson said with a smile. “It’s such an unbelievable thing it’s not even real life yet I don’t think.”

Pendleton, Ore. – Joshua Gliege of Eagle, Idaho completed his march through the bracket with an 8 and 7 decision in the final match over Roy Kang of North Vancouver, B.C. to win the 61st Pacific Northwest Junior Boys’ Amateur, which was held at Wildhorse Resort in Pendleton, Ore.

The championship was conducted by the Pacific Northwest Golf Association (PNGA).

After 12 holes into the scheduled 36-hole match, Gliege found himself 1-down to Kang, but he then took complete control of the match by winning nine of the next 14 holes, closing out the match with a birdie on the par-5 29th hole.

Kelowna’s Megan Osland’s golf future continues to burn bright after she finished T12 at the Stage 1 LPGA Qualifying School in Rancho Mirage, CA from Aug. 3-9.

Osland, who just completed her senior year at San Jose State University, shot rounds of 73-72-69-72 to finish at (-2) 286 and handily advances to Stage 2 LPGA Q School, which will be held Oct. 19-25 at the Plantation Golf and Country Club in Venice, FL.

PACIFIC COAST GOLF ASSOCIATION (Eugene, OR)- University of Oregon Duck Sophomore Aaron Wise of Lake Elsinore, California has etched his name in Pacific Coast Amateur history with an impressive final round at Eugene Country Club in Eugene, Oregon.

Coming into the final round, Wise sat two strokes back of third round leaders Will Zalatoris of Plano, Texas and Bryson DeChambeau of Clovis, California. Wise got off to a great start, making birdies on holes one and three to get to four under and into a lead he would never relinquish.

"Today was a great day," stated Wise. "I got off to a hot start just as I had wanted to."
