    COVINGTON, Ga. (December 15, 2016) – Bridgestone Golf, a leading manufacturer of premium golf balls, clubs and accessories – announced that it has signed Tiger Woods to a multi-year agreement to exclusively play and promote its high-performance golf balls. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

    Woods, whose decorated career includes a record run of 683 weeks as the top-ranked golfer in the world, selected the Bridgestone Tour B330-S ball after thoroughly testing it against competing models from all major brands.

    Tiger Woods’ 2021 season is on hold after he announced that he underwent a microdiscectomy procedure on his back to remove a pressurized disc fragment that was pinching a nerve.

    He is expected to be sidelined through at least the first two-plus months of the year and will miss both the Farmers Insurance Open and the Genesis Invitational, where he doubles as tournament host.

  • Times They Are A-Changin' For Canadians On PGA TOUR

    Round one is in the books for the Canadians at the PGA TOUR's Florida stop here in Palm Harbor, Northwest suburb of Tampa Bay for the Valspar Championship the second leg of a 3 leg pre-Masters Florida swing.

    Half of the Canadians are in the top eleven - Adam Hadwin and David Hearn, who both played in the morning at 7:05 a.m. and were delayed 1 hour because of fog. The other half, Graham DeLaet at even-par and Nick Taylor at one over par 72, played in the afternoon round.  

    The greens were a little crusty for both during the second half draw, however DeLaet and Taylor will have fresh greens as they play the morning half of the draw with fog again expected in the morning of round two.

    January 6, 2025 (KAPALUA, HAWAII) - A four-round total of 18-under par will usually get you a top 10, maybe even a win, most weeks on the PGA TOUR.

    Not at Kapalua’s Plantation course, where the season-opening Sentry tournament is an absolute birdie-fest.

    Abbotsford’s Adam Hadwin had 24 birdies and an eagle in his 72 holes of golf at the Plantation and just eked out a top-30 finish by finishing 29th at 18-under par.

    The 2015 Men's U.S. Open is being played in the Pacific Northwest for the first time. 

    The host course is the Bobby Jone's designed Chambers Bay just south of Seattle on the shores of Puget Sound. With freight trains rolling by and long fescue grasses waving in the breeze the links-style layout definitely has a British Open feel to it.

    BOSTON, May 24, 2018 – The Legends Tour has announced its 30-player tournament field for next month’s inaugural event at the Suquamish Clearwater Legends Cup presented by Boeing. The event is set for June 8-10, at the White Horse Golf Club in Kingston, WA.

    Former Masters Champ Mike Weir Is Counting The Days Until His PGA Tour Champions Debut

    Mike Weir is too excited about the future to spend a lot of time dwelling on the past, but he’s more than happy to do a little reminiscing about his first PGA TOUR win 20 years ago.

    Yes, it really has been two decades since Weir thrilled golf fans with his Air Canada Championship victory at Northview Golf Club in Surrey. If you were there, you will never forget it. Weir certainly hasn’t, although he has a hard time wrapping his head around the fact that it has been 20 years.

    It was Sept. 5, 1999 when Weir recorded his second straight seven-under 64 to beat American Fred Funk by two shots and get that elusive first PGA TOUR win.

    West Vancouver’s Seann Harlingten and Stuart Macdonald of Vancouver have both qualified for the final stage of the Web.com Tour qualifying school.

    Harlingten advanced by finishing tied for 20th at a second stage Q school site at Bear Creek Golf Club in Murrieta, Calif., while Macdonald finished alone in seventh place at another site at the TPC at Craig Ranch in McKinney, Tex.

    Riley Wheeldon of Comox missed advancing by one shot at Bear Creek, while Kimberley’s Jared Du Toit fell four shots short.

    Macdonald and Harlingten will join fellow Canadians Ryan Yip of Calgary and Albin Choi of Toronto at the Q school finals, which go Dec. 7-10 at Whirlwind Golf Club in Chandler, Ariz.

    OAKVILLE, Ont. (Golf Canada) – Golf Canada is pleased to announce the 10 athletes—six female and four male—who have been selected to the 2019 Team Canada Young Pro Squad.

    Comprising the 2019 Women’s Young Pro Squad is Brittany Marchand (Orangeville, Ont.) , Anne-Catherine Tanguay (Quebec City), Maddie Szeryk (London, Ont.) Augusta James (Bath, Ont.), Jennifer Ha (Calgary) and Jaclyn Lee (Calgary). Lee, 21, makes the transition from the Amateur Squad after turning professional in December.

    The Men’s Young Pro Squad will be represented by Jared du Toit (Kimberley, B.C.), Hugo Bernard (Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Que.), Taylor Pendrith (Richmond Hill, Ont.) and Stuart Macdonald (Vancouver).

    The Mackenzie Tour – PGA TOUR Canada season kicks off with Freedom 55 Financial Open The Mackenzie Tour’s fourth season begins this week at the Freedom 55 Financial Open at Point Grey Golf and Country Club in Vancouver, B.C.

    Open Qualifying took place Monday May 23rd (Victoria Day) at Swan-e-Set Bay Resort & Country Club in Pitt Meadows. When the day was done, 10 more names were added to the final field for Thursday's start to the season with two more British Columbians and 3 Canadians in total among those to gain entry into the event.

    Narrated by Emmy Award-winning actor Jon Hamm, the one-hour film, 2015 U.S. Open: Spieth’s Northwest Conquest, will debut in the U.S. on Thursday, Nov. 26 on Fox (approximately 4 p.m. EST; check local listings) following the NFL game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Detroit Lions.

    The film will be rebroadcast at 4:30 p.m. EST on Sunday, Nov. 29, on Fox Sports 1.
