    B.C. Launches COVID-19 Support App

    VICTORIA -- The B.C. government has launched a COVID-19 support app to help provide residents with the latest information on the ongoing pandemic.

    The app can be downloaded through the Apple Store or Google Play and is also available as a website online here

    Besides acting as a platform for posting information and alerts, the app also features the B.C. government’s COVID-19 self-assessment tool that can help residents decide if they need to seek coronavirus testing.

    The self-assessment tool can also be found as a standalone test online here

    In light of the heightened global concerns surrounding COVID-19 (Coronavirus), British Columbia Golf and Golf Canada are closely monitoring Health Canada and Government resources as well as consulting with various partners including the Canadian Olympic Committee, PGA TOUR, LPGA Tour and others.

    COVID-19 is something that the entire sport and golf community both internationally and domestically are taking seriously, especially with respect to the health and well-being of our people as well as any potential impact on our athletes or events.

    Those of you who’ve followed golf over the past decade or so have been witness to the “World Player” phenomenon. Golfers from North America travelling to Europe and Asia with regularity; Australian players travelling to the U.S. and Europe and players from Asia travelling to North America and Europe.

    With that in mind, perhaps it’s time you broadened your horizons as far as golf destinations go and emulated some of the world class players that we watch on TV. 

    My friend and I recently decided to do just that. We packed up our clubs and headed to southeast Asia, specifically - Thailand.

    DANANG, Vietnam — The first golf course ever designed by former world No. 1 Luke Donald opened in Asia’s most impressive new golf destination yesterday.

    Ba Na Hills Golf Club features 18 tour-caliber holes at the foot of a towering mountain range less than half an hour’s drive from Danang, Vietnam’s fourth largest city and gateway to three other designer courses built within the past seven years.
