All it takes is a search of #womensgolfday on social media to see that the inarguable event was a global success. Women’s Golf Day was founded on three core principles: engage, empower, and support.

Through these principles the event was designed to allow a simple and accessible platform to build a foundation and create a network to support the continuation of golf no matter the skill or interest level.

With the 2024 Women's Golf Day celebrations getting underway in several locations, it seems appropriate to share this WGD 'sizzle reel' with everyone.

Golf legends, Jack Nicklaus and Annika Sorenstam, are leading the stellar line-up of stars from the world of golf on May 25th for WGD Palooza, a virtual online event brought to you by Women’s Golf Day and hosted at The World Golf Hall of Fame.

Women’s Golf Day is a one day event taking place on the 'Same Day Everywhere Around the World' June 6, 2017, celebrating girls and women playing golf and learning the skills that last a lifetime.

It's a collaborative effort by a dedicated team, golf management companies, retailers and organizations all working together to engage, empower and support girls and women through golf.

The four hour experience allows a simple and accessible platform to build a foundation and creates a network to support the continuation of golf no matter what skill level or interest.

The International Women's Golf Day goes Tuesday, June 1st and facilities across the province are getting involved...

Women’s Golf Day encourages women to explore various options in their community including local facilities, lessons, leagues and other ways to get involved in golf.

Women's Golf Day 'Week' kicks off today, May 30th and runs until Tuesday, June 6th.

Introducing women and girls to golf and celebrating existing players by joining them together irrespective of gender, race, religion, language, ethnicity, or location is all a part of Women's Golf Day initiatives.

(July 11, 2016) – World Golf Hall of Fame member Bernhard Langer committed to play the 2016 Pacific Links Championship, to be contested on Bear Mountain Golf Resort’s Mountain Course in Victoria, British Columbia, the week of September 19-25, 2016. The event will feature a US$2.5 million purse, with 81 players competing for a winner’s share of $440,000.

Langer, a two-time winner of the Masters Tournament, has notched 28 career titles on PGA TOUR Champions, which ranks third all-time behind Hale Irwin (45) and Lee Trevino (29).

The World Handicap System (WHS) consists of the Rules of Handicapping and the Course Rating System.

Scoreboards rarely tell the real story of a golf tournament and for five British Columbia girls who were selected to play at The Marshes for the World Junior Girls Championship, that could not be more true.

While South Koreans and Scandinavians dominated the top of the leaderboard, the Canadian girls, led by Alisha Lau, Kathrine Chan and Euna Han on Team Canada 2 and Hannah Lee, Tiffany Kong and Ontario’s Grace St-Germain on Team Canada 1, were the hometown favourites who bravely played on despite their golf games not being at their peaks.

Sammamish, Wash. - An impressive field of world-class amateur talent will converge on the Pacific Northwest and Sahalee Country Club in Sammamish, Wash. for the 23rd Sahalee Players Championship (SPC), to be played July 5-7, 2017.

The championship will be contested over 72 holes of stroke play, with 18 holes being played the first day, 36 the second, and 18 on the third and final day. Admission is free to watch the championship.

The SPC took a hiatus in 2016 while the club hosted the 2016 KPMG Women's PGA Championship, won by Brooke Henderson in a playoff with Lydia Ko.

(Sammamish, Wash.) – An impressive field of world-class amateur talent will converge on the Pacific Northwest and Sahalee Country Club in Sammamish, Wash. for the 22nd Sahalee Players Championship (SPC), to be played June 29-July 1, 2015.

The championship will be contested over 72 holes of stroke play, with 36 holes being played the first day, 18 the second, and 18 on the third and final day. This year the SPC field will consist of 66 of the top amateur golfers from around the world.

A qualifier to fill the final three spots was held Monday, June 22 at The Home Course in DuPont, Wash., with the three advancing to the championship proper being Adam Barker, a freshman at Olympic College in Bremerton, Wash.; R.J. Manke of Lakewood, Wash.; and Stuart Macdonald of Vancouver, B.C., a senior from Purdue University.

Portland, Ore. – The 12-person team representing the Washington State Golf Association (WSGA) took a slim lead into the second day’s play and held on to win the 10th PNGA Cup.

The Ryder Cup-style matches were held at Columbia Edgewater Country Club in Portland, Ore., and featured 48 of the finest amateur golfers representing the Washington, Idaho, Oregon and British Columbia golf associations.

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Absent from the top of the leaderboard for most of the day, the team from Wyoming blistered the back nine with nine birdies, one eagle and only three bogies to move into a two-way tie for the lead with Oregon after the first round of the 43rd-annual Junior America’s Cup.

They finished the day with a 10-under-par 206, two strokes ahead of British Columbia and three strokes ahead of Southern California.
