The Story of Cliffhanger

Cliffhanger at Greywolf is one of Canada's most recognized and renowned golf holes. The 180 yard carry over the sheer drop of Hopeful Canyon is both terrifying and rewarding to the average golfer, but all agree that the setting is among the most dramatic of golf holes.
Set among the Purcell Mountains at Panorama Mountain ski resort, Greywolf is always among the top courses in the country. It climbs, curls and drops until you reach the 6th hole and walk towards the tee boxes. The sight of a distant green nestled among the trees and set against the mountain peaks will take your breath away.
Brian Kendall of Canadian Golf Traveller tells the story of how Doug Carrick first envisioned the hole, and how it came to be. Read the story here.
