Introducing The 2025 British Columbia Golf Men's Cloud Series

With February well underway, the 2025 golf season in British Columbia is fast approaching, and we at British Columbia Golf are thrilled for the year ahead. We hope you’re just as excited!

With that we would like to introduce a new initiative for 2025: the Men’s Cloud Series. For the past two years, we’ve successfully run the Women’s Cloud Series, which featured six team events (one per month from April to September).

This series allowed players to form their own teams, play their home courses, and post their scores into Golf Genius, where a provincial leaderboard was generated.

We’ve received a lot of feedback suggesting there’s interest in a Men’s Series, so we’re excited to bring it to life this year!

How It Works:

  • Each month will feature a different team format. (Please see the attached schedule for more details)
  • Players can form teams of 2, 3, or 4 players and register via Golf Genius.
° Event registration will open 2 months before each event and close 5 days prior to the event.
  • Teams will have a 20-day window to play their round and enter hole-by-hole scores into the Golf Genius App. We will provide each group with an event-specific GGID code to enter scores.
  • The Cloud Series events are open to all golfers!

Prizes:

  • Prizes for each event will be awarded as shop credit to a club of your choice. Here’s a breakdown of the prizes:

               º 1st Overall Gross: $100 per player
               º 1st Overall Net: $100 per player
               º 1st Net (Flights 1, 2, and 3): $75 per player
               º 2nd Net (Flights 1, 2, and 3): $50 per player

  • Flights will be based on average team handicap
  • We’ll also have participation-based draw prizes at each event, including BC Golf logoed items and BC Lions tickets, courtesy of the BC Lions.

Cost:

  • There’s no additional cost to participate in the Cloud Series events. Simply register your team as you would for a standard BC Golf Championship, book your own tee time, and play.
  • The only potential cost would be any green fees charged at the course.

April Shamble Registration:

Registration for our first Men’s Cloud Series event, the April Shamble, is now open! You can register via this link: Registration Link

  • Note: If you can’t locate a member when registering, please use the “guest” option. This doesn’t affect their participation, and it’s related to the Golf Genius Master Roster.

We hope you’ll join us for an exciting season of golf in the 2025 British Columbia Golf Men’s Cloud Series! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Tyler McKay at tyler@britishcolumbiagolf.org.
