BC Golf's Titleist Performance Camp Coming To Seymour GC In October

British Columbia Golf, with the support of Titleist, will be holding a Performance Camp at Seymour Golf & Country Club on the North Shore on October 27th and 28th, 2018. 

This Provincial Training Camp will be used as a part of the team selection process for the 2019 season, including the North Pacific Junior Team Matches, Girls Junior Americas Cup and Eddie Hogan Cup Matches

BC Golf uses multiple criteria to make selections for their teams, this will be 1 of the criteria used for the above 3 teams

Here is an overview of the BC Team Selection Criteria approved by a motion of the Player Development Committee in 2009. 

  • Current Season Performance
  • Past Performance (2 years, Provincial and National Results)
  • Age Apprpriate Stage of Development
  • Current Provincial Order of Merit
  • Participation in Training (this criteria was added in 2011)
  • Regional Selection
  • Coaches Recommendations and reports

Colin Lavers

Coaching Philosophy: 
I have two main foundations to my coaching. The first being that the process of learning must be enjoyable. Golf is a sport that we can play for the rest of our lives if we first develop a love of the game. 
The second foundation is a Growth Mindset - Better is Always Possible. I believe that this one simple phrase can lead to excellence in golf and in life.

Jennifer Greggain

Jennifer's career includes competitive play at the highest levels of amateur and professional golf, making her playing experience one of the best in British Columbia. She earned a scholarship at the University of Washington, where she then pursued over ten years of tour experience, including two years on the LPGA Tour.

She was the 2010 Washington State Women's Open champion, the 2010 CN Canadian Women's Tour Low Teaching Professional of the Year, and the 2013 PGA of BC Women's Championship winner. Most recently, Jennifer claimed the 2015 Pepsi Northwest Women's Open Championship, as well as the 2015 Women's PGA of BC Championship.

Jennifer is now a member of the PGA of Canada, LPGA Teaching & Club Pro Division, is K-Vest certified, and is a certified TPI Instructor. She is committed to providing the best golf instruction and programs in the Fraser Valley. Congratulations to Jennifer who has been named the 2016 LPGA T&CP Western Section Teacher of the Year.

Lindsay Manion

Head Fitness Coach: Tour Performance LAB 

Lindsay Manion is considered one of the top Golf Performance Fitness Coaches in Canada. Lindsay’s background in golf as a Varsity athlete at the University of British Columbia and a student of the Bachelor of Human Kinetics program has led her into some of the top coaching roles in BC. Lindsay is the Lead Fitness Coach at the Tour Performance LAB and a coach to the Men’s and Women’s SFU Golf Program. Lindsay has also worked with UBC Men’s and Women’s golf programs in the past, as well as many local high school golf programs.
