CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State University Athletics is proud to announce Trevor Yu and Nicole Schroeder have been named April Scholar-Athletes of the Month.
Yu, a junior from Vancouver, B.C., has played in all nine tournaments this season and has a scoring average of 74.19. His best finish was 26th place at the Desert Mountain Collegiate and his best score was a 3-under 68 in the first round at the Alister MacKenzie Invitational.
He has a 3.67 cumulative GPA in digital communication arts and was selected to the Pac-12 All-Academic Second Team last spring.
Schroeder, a sophomore from Rocklin, Calif., has played in seven tournaments and has a scoring average of 73.83. She finished in a career-best third place at the Entrada Classic this spring and equaled her best career score with a 2-under 70 in the second round of the Ron Moore Invitational this past fall.
She has a 3.45 cumulative GPA in pre-business.
Two student-athletes are selected each month, coordinated by the Academics for Student-Athletes staff.
