(May 16, 2016) NORMAN, Okla. – Simon Fraser University sophomore Chris Crisologo was today named to the Division II PING All-Region West team by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
Crisologo was one of 112 players across eight regions - East, Atlantic, Southeast, South, Midwest, South Central, Central and West – who earned all-region honors for 2016.
Earlier this season the Richmond native was named Great Northwest Athletic Conference Player of the Year and GNAC First Team All-Conference.
Crisologo was selected by the conference coaches as Player of the Year after pacing all GNAC golfers with an average round score of 71.4. Crisologo was the medalist at two tournaments and finished in the top-five in five of nine events.
"Chris has continued through his sophomore year to be the dominant member and inspirational member of the SFU Men's Golf team," said Clan head coach John Buchanan. "His stroke average over 24 rounds is a full stroke better than his closest GNAC Conference rival.”
Crisologo finished third at the 2016 GNAC Championship and 16th at the NCAA Division II Men’s Golf West/South Central Super Regional.
