Olympic View Fund Rasier For Lori Hamstra A Big Success

In late February, Olympic View Golf Club played host to a fundraiser for one of their own. More than 200 people came out in support.
Lori Hamstra, one of the facility’s instructors, was diagnosed with breast and inflammatory cancer last June 2015. Since she been undergoing chemotherapy and bone infusions.
The Club staged a golf day and dinner where 142 players teed it up and 215 came out for the auction/dinner fundraiser. The golf raised $11,000, while the auction brought in another $16,000.
Said GM Randy Frank, “Our friend, colleague, and team member Lori Hamstra is in the fight of her life. Olympic View is honoured to be a part of raising over $27,000 to help her in her battle.”
In a message posted to Facebook, Lori said, “It’s hard to find words to say how grateful I feel. ‘Thanks’ just isn’t enough. So to all the sponsors, to all those who donated, to all those who participated, to all my family and friends, to everyone at Olympic View Golf Club: You are all amazing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am so grateful for all your love and support.”
