Pitt Meadows To Host 2025 Men’s Senior Championship, New Entry Requirements Announced

For Immediate Release

PITT MEADOWS, BC (February 26, 2025) - Pitt Meadows Golf Club has been selected by BC Golf as the host site for the 2025 Men’s Senior and Super-Senior Championship from August 4th to August 7th.

“We are excited to continue our partnership with Pitt Meadows,” said Jerome Goddard, BC Golf Director of Rules & Competitions. “The Club has invested tremendously in their facilities and golf course over the past several years and Pitt Meadows continues to be a strong Championship host site.”

“The club is very excited to host the BC Men’s Senior Championship this summer and this championship will be a great opportunity to show what Pitt Meadows Golf Club has to offer.” said Wes Doka, Head Professional of Pitt Meadows Golf Club.

“The course plays tougher than what the yardage lets on, with tree lined fairways and smaller greens. With firm summer conditions expected, a premium will be on hitting the fairway to control approaches coming into the small greens.”

The 2025 Men’s Senior will also see the introduction of new entry requirements for this event. Players must now be exempt to the Men’s Senior or qualify through their Zones. Previous Champions and the top 50 finishers and ties from the 2024 Championship are exempt from qualifying.

Players who are not exempt should contact their Zone for more information on qualifying. BC Golf will hold exemptions for out of province players. The complete entry requirements can be found here.

The most recent Provincial Championship held at Pitt Meadows was the 2022 Women’s Amateur, won by now Team Canada Professional, Leah John. In 2024, Pitt Meadows held the RBC Canadian Open Regional Qualifier.

The Men’s Senior and Super Senior Championship will be contested over 54 holes of stroke play with a field size of 156 players. Top finishers will qualify for the Canadian Men’s Senior Championship at KenWo Golf Club in New Minas, Nova Scotia from September 9th to September 12th, 2025.

Registration will open April 9th at https://britishcolumbiagolf.org/championships.
