PITT MEADOWS, August 7, 2025 — The Zone 3 team of Trevor Van Hoof, Walter Kraakman, and Lanny Sawchuck delivered a strong performance at the 2025 BC Men’s Senior and Super-Senior Championship at Pitt Meadows Golf Club, finishing second in the Zone Team competition.

Zone 3 posted rounds of 146 and 147 for a two-day total of 293 (+5), placing them twelve shots behind the winning Zone 4 team and ten shots ahead of third-place Zone 5.

Trevor Van Hoof, 56, of Maple Ridge, recorded rounds of 71 and 75. His Day 1 round included 13 pars, 4 bogeys, and 1 birdie, while his second round included 11 pars, 6 bogeys, and 1 birdie.

Walter Kraakman, 58, from Deroche, contributed rounds of 77 and 72. His impressive even-par final round was highlighted by 13 pars, 3 bogeys, and 2 birdies, improving five shots from the day before.

Lanny Sawchuck, 60, of Surrey , carded a 75 on Day 1 which counted in the competition but his second-round 80 was not included in the team score.

Zone 3’s runner-up finish reaffirmed their status as one of the province’s most consistent senior squads.
