LOWER MAINLAND, JULY 17, 2025 (excerpted from the PGA of BC official site)

The Jack McLaughlin Memorial PGA of BC Pro‑Junior Championship Series opened its Lower Mainland stop on July 17 at Fort Langley Golf Club, as junior-golf teams from across the province teed off in an 18‑hole, two‑net best‑ball format.

Each team consisted of one PGA of BC professional paired with three juniors from their facility, competing in a net-best-ball format that allows contributions from all junior players. Professionals are awarded cash based on the number of birdies and eagles recorded across the field.

The event honors the legacy of Jack McLaughlin, the longtime Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club Head Professional and junior‑golf advocate. Past regional winners have represented clubs like Quilchena GC, Cheam Mountain GC, Glacier Greens, and more.

In this year’s Lower Mainland event, Team Quilchena Golf & Country Club—led by club pro John Vu—emerged victorious with a stellar score of −17. Runners‑up included Cheam Mountain’s squad featuring Noah and Isaiah Reddicopp, who posted −16 and also won the birdies pot for seven birdies and an eagle.
