VICTORIA, JUNE 26 — Surrey’s Aram Choi delivered a solid three-day performance at the 120th BC Women’s Amateur Championship, finishing fourth overall at +7 after rounds of 73, 72, and 78 at the historic Victoria Golf Club.
Choi opened the championship with a 73 in the first round, then surged into contention in the second round with a one-over-par 72 that featured a front nine score of just 33. Her excellent start that day briefly put pressure on the leaders and was among the lowest nine-hole stretches of the tournament. Despite a tougher final round 78, Choi’s total of 223 secured a top-five finish.
In the Mid Am competition, Choi came close to defending the title she won in 2024 (see story HERE ) being narrowly bettered by Bellingham's Taya Battistella.
The 33-year-old showed flashes of elite ball striking and poise throughout the event, even as challenging conditions tested the field. Her strong finish suggests she's still a contender when it matters most.
Zone 3's other competitor, Lucy Park also from Surrey, was able to crack the top 40 finishers finishing in a respectable T37.
