Nk’mip Canyon Desert Golf Course has been selected by BC Golf as the host site for the 2026 British Columbia Junior Boys Championship from June 29 – July 3.
“Nk’mip has shown dedication to the game in British Columbia with extensive support of Provincial, Zone, and PGA of BC events the last several years and we are thrilled to add the 2026 Junior Boys to the Club’s storied championship history,” said Jerome Goddard, BC Golf Director of Rules & Competitions. “Our Junior Boys can expect firm and fast conditions that Nk’mip has become known for, with all areas of their game being challenged”.
“Nk’Mip Canyon is excited to host the 2026 BC Junior Boys championship, this event’s first time back at the club since 2022. We have made a commitment to increase Junior presence at the club and help grow the game and events like this are instrumental to that end. I am excited to see the best Juniors in the province test their skills on everything Nk’Mip throws their way,” said Connor O’Dell, Director of Golf at Nk’mip Canyon Desert Golf Club.
The 2022 BC Junior Boys was won by James Lee and the 2022 BC Junior Girls was won by Luna Lu. The inaugural Indigenous Championship British Columbia was held at Nk’mip in 2023, won by Austin Krahn.
This Championship will be contested over 72 holes, with a cut to the top 50% and ties after 36 holes. Top finishers will qualify for the Canadian Junior Boys Championship at Wascana Country Club in Regina, Saskatchewan.
