PITT MEADOWS, August 7, 2025 — The Zone 2 team of Stewart Scott, Jason Monteleone, and Doug Engbrecht competed with grit in the Zone Team competition at the 2025 BC Men’s Senior and Super-Senior Championship at Pitt Meadows Golf Club.
The Zone 2 team finished in fourth place overall with a two-day total of 305 (+17), just one shot behind third-place Zone 5 (Victoria). The team’s Day 1 score of 151 kept them in the mix, and they followed up with a solid 154 on Day 2.
Jason Monteleone led the way for Zone 2 with rounds of one-over 73 and six-over 78. The 55-year old from Kelowna was the picture of consistency on Day one where sis round included 15 pars, 2 bogeys, and 1 birdie.
56 year old Team-mate Doug Engbrecht also from Kelowna contributed two steady rounds of six-over 78 and and four-over 76.
Stewart Scott unfortunately withdrew during the first round, leaving Monteleone and Engbrecht to carry the scoring load.
The overall Zone Team title was claimed by Zone 4 (Burnaby, Coquitlam, Surrey) with an impressive 5-under total of 283, followed by Zone 3 at +5 and Zone 5 at +16.
