ARMSTRONG, JULY 22 — A recent article in the Vernon Morning Star by reporter Roger Knox profiles what was an amazing winning week for the Crowe family, as both father Jesse and son DJ captured golf titles just two days apart in separate Okanagan events.
On July 20, Jesse Crowe of Armstrong and partner Jeremy Osborne won the 97th annual Spalding Cup men’s best-ball tournament at Salmon Arm Golf Club — their third straight win at the historic event. Just 48 hours earlier, Jesse’s 17-year-old son DJ Crowe went wire-to-wire at the Maple Leaf Junior Tour’s Zeal Series in Kelowna, posting rounds of 70-72 for a dominant seven-shot win in the Junior Boys division.
