EUGENE, July 20, 2025 (compiled from British Columbia Golf and Elite Amateur Golf Series sources) — Three talented golfers from British Columbia are among the elite field competing at the 58th Pacific Coast Amateur Championship, which runs July 22–25 at Eugene Country Club in Oregon. The championship routinely attracts the top amateur players from around the world This year’s championship includes players from eight different countries and Puerto Rico.
Leading the B.C. contingent is Cooper Humphreys of Kelowna, a standout at the University of San Diego. A two-time B.C. Amateur champion, Humphreys boasts a 71.72 scoring average across 39 collegiate rounds and has recorded multiple top-10 finishes in NCAA play.
Joining him are Mackenzie Bickell of Richmond and Manpreet (Manny) Lahl of Nanaimo. Both players earned their spots via British Columbia Golf qualification. Bickell is coming off a strong performance at the 2025 B.C. Amateur, finishing solo 4th at 6-under par. Lahl also impressed, tying for 21st at 2-over in the 72-hole championship at Bootleg Gap.
The Pacific Coast Amateur is one of seven prestigious tournaments in the Elite Amateur Golf Series. Top finishers earn World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) points and potential exemptions into USGA championships, PGA TOUR, and Korn Ferry Tour events.
