Surrey's Tiger Xie rallied from behind to win the Junior Boys Championship while West Vancouver's Karrisa Yuehan Zhao captured the Juvenile Girls title with a course-record-tying final round
It was a standout week for British Columbia at the 2026 Canadian Junior championships, with two BC golfers earning national titles at championships in Saskatchewan and Ontario.
Tiger Xie of Surrey came from two strokes back in the final round to win the Canadian Junior Boys Championship, presented by BDO, at Wascana Country Club in Regina, Sask. Xie trailed Ottawa's Michael Vivone through the first 11 holes before a birdie on no. 12 drew him level, and he pulled away down the stretch with another birdie on 18 to close with a 2-under 70 and finish the tournament at 16-under (71-66-65-70—272). He becomes the 13th player in tournament history to sweep both the Junior Boys and Juvenile Boys divisions in the same year.
