Twins Golf Into University Scholarships

Twins Maria and Isabel Schwager, playing out of the Nanaimo Golf Club, first took up the game at the tender age of six. Now they have earned prestigious university scholarships. Maria is headed to UVic and Isabel to UBC Okanagan, turning childhood passion into academic opportunity.

Both were standout players at Wellington Secondary and last March, they signed letters of intent with the two post secondary institutions. Maria and Isabel both plan to balance athletics with academics, pursuing business and nursing respectively. Their journey from junior golf to varsity rosters is a testament to dedication and sibling support.
