Salmon Arm Silverbacks Tee Off with 1st Annual Alumni & Friends Scramble
Chase, B.C. — The Salmon Arm Silverbacks are hosting their inaugural Silverbacks Alumni & Friends Golf Tournament, set for Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the scenic Talking Rock Golf Course.
This unique scramble format event combines community golf with a nostalgic twist—each foursome may be paired with a Silverbacks alumni player, and some teams will feature former NHL alumni.
Participants can expect the full package: use of the practice facility, an 18‑hole round, banquet dinner at Quaaout Lodge, and a host of prize opportunities. Registration includes cart, dinner, and gifts. Early bird team entry was priced at $1,000, with general registration at $1,200. Dinner-only tickets are also available.
Social media posts reflect strong local engagement, noting that alumni players continue to register—including names like Damon Kipp and James Friedel, already confirmed participants. Organizers promise a one-of-a-kind fusion of hockey history and golf fun.
“This event is a great opportunity for Silverbacks fans to connect with our organization and alumni while enjoying a great day on the course,” stated Business Operations Manager Alexandra Miege.
The event is timed perfectly for hockey fans and golfers alike—bringing a spirited blend of sport, sponsorship, and social connection to the Central Okanagan valley.
