The 2026 qualifying for the Notah Begay III Canadian Junior Golf National Championship is underway in British Columbia. Qualifying will start on September 13-14 at The Hills at Portal Golf Club followed by two more qualifiers in the spring of 2026.
The Notah Begay Junior Series is the only qualifying series in Canada. Like Drive, Chip and Putt or U.S. Junior Amateur, there are three qualifying stages: local, regional and the National Championship. Notah’s vision and goal has always been the same, bring the best juniors from across the country together, allow them to build their brands and meet their goals to go on to the next level.
The Notah Begay series is also the only junior series that is broadcast on television. The second stage tournaments (regional) in Canada are streamed live on TSN+ and a taped version is shown on RDS & RDS2. The final stage (national) takes place in Kinder, Louisiana and is aired for a 2-hour broadcast on the Golf Channel.
You can enter qualifying for the Canadian Championship (regional) where you will be competing with players from all across Canada on television. This past summer we teed off 195 players at our Championship and 26 of them were from British Columbia! The September 13-14 qualifier can get you there! Also, we plan to add another Canadian Championship to Western Canada to help with travel costs.
We hope to see you at our September 13-14 qualifier at The Hills at Portal Golf Club.
