The 40th North Pacific Junior Girls team event will be held at Golden Eagle Golf Club in Pitt Meadows, B.C. on May 21-23. The three-day competition will feature the finest amateur junior girl players from Oregon, Washington, British Columbia and Alberta. With an established rotation, this year’s event is being hosted by British Columbia Golf.
Previously known as the North Pacific Junior Ladies, the event has changed its name to North Pacific Junior Girls. Other changes for this year include the addition of a team from Alberta, the reduction of number of players on each team from six to four, and the reverting back to a Curtis Cup-style match play format consisting of four-ball and foursomes matches on the first day of play followed by singles matches on the second day.
Each of the four teams will select their four players according to their region’s points system and past performances.
“Conducting this team event is one of the highlights of our year,” said William McKenzie, event manager for British Columbia Golf and host of this year’s event. “We are committed to elevating events such as this, providing opportunities for young players to compete, create lasting memories, build friendships and continue to foster the inherent camaraderie the game offers.”

About the North Pacific Junior Girls Competition
The NPJG Matches were co-founded in 1987 by Joan Teats (WJGA founder) and Joan Green of the Canadian Ladies Golf Association (BC branch), with the purpose of providing friendly competition for girl junior golfers in a Curtis Cup-style match-play format. The event was held as a stroke-play event in 2024-2025 but returned to match play in 2026. Four-player teams come from Oregon, Washington, British Columbia and Alberta.
