We’ve given our website a fresh new look, inspired by golfcanada.ca, and built it around what matters most to our members...
Getting Around
There are a few ways you can explore the site. You can browse using the main menu in the middle up top, or open the drawer/search from the top left. On the top right, you’ll see blue buttons linking to golfcanada.ca, and just above those (in grey), we’ve included a few handy quick links. Just above our logo which gets you back to our home page are links to our social media channels.
What’s New?
We’ve made a bunch of updates, but two big ones we’re excited about are the searchable Events Directory and Facilities Directory.
Events Directory – Find tournaments, clinics, and other events happening across BC. You can filter by tournament type, location, date, skill level, and more. Planning a summer trip to the Okanagan? See what tournaments are happening while you’re there. Looking for junior camps near home? You’ll find those too. Right now, there are nearly 300 events listed—and that number will keep growing! If you’re running an event (even charity tournaments), email the details to: bryan@britishcolumbiagolf.
Facilities Directory – This one covers over 250 golf courses around the province. You can search for courses near where you live or plan to visit, and filter by course type (Full Length, Executive, Pitch & Putt) and access (public/private, etc.). Most listings also link to the club's website.
Coming in 2026: we’ll add ranges and indoor simulators too.
Main Menu Breakdown
Click on any top-level menu item (like “Play Golf”) and you’ll see related links pop up underneath. Here's what each main section covers:
1. Play Golf
This is your go-to spot whether you're new to the game or already playing.
- Start Golfing is perfect for beginners.
- BC Golf Fore Her is designed for women, no matter their experience level.
- Junior Golf helps parents get their kids started and into competitions.
- Recreational Competition shows how to get involved in fun, skill-based events.
- Golf & Health talks about the wellness benefits of the game.
Want to know about the 15 annual championships we run? This is the place. We’ve linked it with our Golf Genius site, where you’ll find details like how to register. You’ll also find policies, past results, and FAQs.
3. Performance
Our goal here is to grow the number of competitive golfers in BC and help them thrive.
You’ll find info about:
- Team BC regional squads
- Athlete development and Coaching
- Past Champions and Teams
- Our success at the BC/Canada Games
4. Zones
BC is divided into 8 golf zones, each with men’s and women’s committees. You’ll find links to most of these in the dropdown.
Bonus: The full Zone 3 Women’s site lives right here with us—so they can send newsletters, share results, and promote local events.
5. Resources
This section is all about the association: our Board, staff, the volunteer opportunities, and more.
We run on volunteer power, so if you’re interested in helping out, check out the Volunteering section to get involved.
6. News
We’re committed to sharing golf stories and updates that matter to our community.
The News section is divided by region:
- Province-wide (latest news)
- Lower Mainland
- Vancouver Island
- BC Interior
As mentioned, we also have niche areas like Golf Fore Her and the Zone 3 Women, with more on the way.
You’ll see this content in our email newsletters too—sign up or check out past issues via the link in the top right (in grey caps).
One Last Thing...
While we’re moving some content from the old site over, you can still check out the original version through the Legacy Website link at the bottom of every page.
Got feedback? We’d love to hear it. Drop a note to our Director of Communications, Jeff Sutherland, at jeff@britishcolumbiagolf.
