RICHMOND, B.C., August 18, 2025 — Story by Staff

British Columbia Golf has launched a Request for Proposal (RFP) seeking experienced consultants or facilitation firms to lead the development of its next strategic plan, covering 2026–2028.

The new strategy comes at a pivotal moment. With the current plan set to expire in 2025 and longtime CEO Kris Jonasson retiring after nearly three decades of leadership, the organization is preparing to chart a fresh path under incoming CEO Matthew Steinbach. The plan will address post-pandemic trends, changes in leadership, and the evolving landscape of sport governance.

The selected facilitator will be expected to lead a province-wide consultation, conduct a situational analysis, and guide BC Golf through key planning sessions culminating in a comprehensive multi-year strategy. Deliverables will include updated mission and vision statements, strategic goals, performance tracking tools, and a visual framework.

Proposals are due by September 12, 2025. Two full-day sessions with the Board are scheduled in October, with final deliverables due by November 30, 2025.
