(PENTICTON, B.C.) – Penticton Golf & Country Club has been selected by BC Golf as the host site for the 2026 BC Junior Girls Championship, set to take place from July 6–9, 2026.
“We are excited to bring the 2026 BC Junior Girls Championship to Penticton Golf & Country Club and showcase one of the Interior's premium golf clubs,” said William McKenzie, Manager, Events & Off-Course Golf, BC Golf.
Founded in 1922, Penticton Golf & Country Club is one of the oldest golf clubs in the Okanagan and is widely recognized for its championship-calibre layout. The course features tree-lined fairways, strategic bunkering and well-protected greens that demand precision and thoughtful course management.
“Penticton Golf & Country Club provides an outstanding test for our Junior Girls Championship,” said McKenzie. “The course rewards precision and smart decision-making, we expect it to challenge every aspect of a player’s game. We are excited to bring this championship to the Okanagan and continue growing opportunities for junior girls to compete at a high level across the province.”

The B.C. Junior Girls Championship will be contested over 54 holes of stroke play, with a maximum field of 50 players. A change from last year’s championship, conducted over 72 holes, with a maximum field of 39 players. This tournament serves as a key development opportunity for young athletes aspiring to compete at the highest levels, with top finishers earning exemptions into the Canadian Junior Girls Championship.
