| In this special edition of the British Columbia Golf newsletter, our focus is on the upcoming 'She Plays Golf Festival' and all the exciting events planned to celebrate women of all ages and abilities looking to enjoy the health, social and competitive benefits of the sport. She Plays Golf is an initiative led by Golf Canada focused on creating more opportunities for women and girls to learn, play, and enjoy the game. The program introduces new players to golf in a fun, welcoming, and judgement-free environment, while also helping current players stay engaged and connected to the sport. As part of this initiative, British Columbia Golf is partnering with industry leaders, clubs, members, and associations to host and support seven She Plays Golf Festival events. Events are planned for several communities and locations in BC and we're proud to help connect you to them in this newsletter. Accomplished and well respected instructors such as Jodi Reimer (Jodi has 25 years as a PGA of Canada Professional, all of which have been at the Riverway Golf Course), Coach Shayain (With a background in professional sports, Shayain is an LPGA certified golf teaching professional), Courtney Campbell-Leveck (A PGA of Canada Head Professional at Gleneagles GC, Courtney is the founder of Birdies Babes Golf, a community-driven initiative launched in 2019) and Keri Moffat (In addition to leading Girls Golf Academy, Keri serves as Assistant Coach for the University of British Columbia Women’s Golf Team and Director of Instruction at Mayfair Lakes G&CC) Along with the BC Chapter of the LPGA Amateurs Association these women will be holding fun, informative and welcoming events.
