| Our lead story is the Canada Summer Games, held this week in St. John’s, NL. Team BC delivered outstanding results, with Jenny Kwon earning bronze and Elaine Liu finishing 4th in the girls' individual competition. On the boys' side, Austin Krahn continued his hot summer streak, claiming the individual title in commanding fashion. Team BC also won the combined team event, marking their 4th victory in the last 5 Games. Seymour G&CC hosted the Canadian Men’s Mid-Am Championship where BC players were once again right in contention. Meanwhile, the final BC provincial championship of the season was held at Arbutus Ridge, where two players from Victoria were crowned U17 Provincial Champions. Lastly, Golf Canada is running a membership referral drive. Successful referrals earn entries to win prizes that include a Fairmont Banff Springs golf getaway and custom-fitted Titleist golf clubs. |
