The lead story this week is the crowning of the newest Provincial Champion as Todd Wiseman claimed his first BC Senior Men's Championship at Pitt Meadows GC. A big part of the the event was how the tournament committee handled a 2nd round weather delay deciding to go with a shotgun start.
Prince George can be proud of its own Randall Mackus who competed in the National All Abilities Championship in Kamloops and played to a 2nd place finish in the Men's Stableford component of the competiton. Meanwhile, local courses in the Prince George area have had their share of soggy weather this summer but are managing to stay afloat.
Nationally, Team BC successfully defended their Team Title in the Canadian Women's Mid-Am in Quebec while BC's Nonie Marler was runner-up in the individual tournament after losing a 3-hole playoff to Ontario's Judith Kyrinis.
