Team BC takes fourth place in Lima

RICHMOND, BC (British Columbia Golf) – Team British Columbia returned to Lima to defend their title at the XXVI International Amateur Tournament April 23-26, the team finished fourth at +14 after four days of competitive play.

British Columbia Golf was represented by Kevin Carrigan and Brent Wilson at the Lima Golf Club in Peru. The pair beat 26 international teams.

Carrigan placed strongly at fourth, as an individual with scores of 74-70-71-73, narrowly missed another third place finish at the event.

In his first time competing in the tournament, Wilson finished 21st of 56 golfers, with a final score of +14 (75-76-76-75), remaining consistent and persistent.

This year’s tournament was won by Team Chile (-15) consisting of Guillermo Pereira (-11) who also placed first in the individual competition, and Rodrigo Rivas (-4), followed by Costa Rica and Venezuela.
