Sport BC Announces 24th Annual Presidents' Award Winners

Recipients will be honoured at a ceremony on March 28, 2018

VANCOUVER, BC (February 22, 2018) — Sport BC is pleased to announce the following recipients of the prestigious Presidents’ Awards presented by Sports with Balls. This group is comprised of the following Provincial Sport Organizations - Basketball BC, Volleyball BC, BC Lacrosse, BC Soccer, Softball BC, Baseball BC, BC Rugby, Tennis BC and BC Ringette.

The Awards ceremony will take place in Vancouver on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 preceding the Athlete of the Year Awards.

 

The annual Presidents’ Awards, presented by Sports with Balls, now in its 24th year, are presented to volunteers from Sport BC member and partner organizations who represent the spirit of volunteerism, and whose dedication, energy and commitment contribute to the development of their sport or organization in the province of British Columbia.

The Athlete of the Year Awards, founded by Sport BC, is the longest standing amateur sport recognition event in the country. Awards in 18 different categories are given each year to athletes, coaches, and officials on their performance and contribution to sport in the province of British Columbia. The awards play a valuable role in nurturing athletic success while recognizing extraordinary accomplishments in BC.
