SECOND NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

TAKE NOTICE THAT the 16th Annual General Meeting of the British Columbia Golf Association will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019. The meeting will take place at the Tsawwassen Springs Golf Club, 5099 Springs Boulevard, Tsawwassen, BC V4M 0A2

  • For the benefit of the delegates, the AGM registration desk will be open at 8:30am

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AGENDA

8:30 - 9:00am           Registration

9:00 – 10:00am        Annual General Meeting

The following order of business must be observed at the Annual General Meeting:

  1. call to order, welcoming remarks;
  2. reading notice of meeting and proof of mailing same;
  3. approval of agenda;
  4. report as to quorum;
  5. appoint scrutineers;
  6. reading and disposition of any unapproved minutes;
  7. elections of Directors to the board;
  8. review of financial statements and auditor’s report;
  9. appointment of auditors;
  10. Distinguished Service Award
  11. general business;

Education Sessions

10:15 – 3:00pm

Session I – Royal and Ancient “Women in Golf Charter”

- British Columbia Golf will outline how it intends to execute and implement the Women in Golf Charter

Session II – Golf and Health

- Dr. Roger Hawkes will outline latest research relative to the health benefits of golf for the treatment of Dementia and Parkinsons. Dr. Hawkes will also give an overview of the world amateur ranking system for disabled golfers.

Session III – “Tee it Forward”

- Larry Gilhuly, Western Regional Agronimist USGA will present an overview of the USGA/PGA Tee it Forward Initiative.

British Columbia Golf will host lunch for all attendees between the second and third session.
