ATLANTIC BEACH, Florida – The 2018 Web.com Tour season came to a close on Sunday in Atlantic Beach, Florida, as the Web.com Tour Championship wrapped up the sixth-annual Web.com Tour Finals. University of Virginia alum Denny McCarthy won the season-ending event, where 25 players secured their PGA TOUR cards for the 2018-19 season.

The Web.com Tour awarded a first set of 25 PGA TOUR cards for the 2018-19 season at the conclusion of the WinCo Foods Portland Open presented by Kraft-Heinz in August, with a second set of 25 solidified at the conclusion of the Finals.

The Canadian contingent on the PGA TOUR grew by two players with the addition of British Columbians Roger Sloan from Merritt and Surrey's Adam Svensson.

The 31-year old Sloan makes his return to the top circuit, last playing on the PGA TOUR in 2015. He moved into 12th place on the Web.com Tour playoff money list earlier this month after finishing as runner-up at the Albertsons Boise Open in Idaho.

Even without including his winnings from last week's Web.com Tour Championship, the final event in the four-tournament playoff series, he had secured enough money to guarantee a return to the PGA TOUR. “It all came together and I was able to play Roger Sloan golf,” he told the Canadian Press last week.

Svensson, 24, earned his promotion by finishing in the top 25 of the Web.com Tour's regular-season money list. Sloan and Svensson will join fellow Canadians Adam Hadwin, Nick Taylor, Mackenzie Hughes, Corey Conners, David Hearn and Ben Silverman for the PGA Tour’s 2018-19 season, which begins in early October at the Safeway Open in California.

Five of the 25 players who secured their PGA TOUR cards solely through the Web.com Tour Finals will be rookies during the 2018-19 season. The top 25 are:
