From The Editors January 8th, 2018

In this first 2018 edition of your British Columbia Golf newsletter we want to wish everyone a healthy and Happy New Year both on and off the golf course.

At the same time it's unfortunate that we are starting off the year acknowledging the loss of one of British Columbia's most respected, admired and hard working golf promoters, particularly in the area of junior golf. It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Harry White who passed away January 2nd.

Along with a memoriam from British Columbia Golf's Brad Ziemer, we also have a very heartfelt and poignant tribute from one of Harry's most devoted and accomplished students, Chris Crisologo. Both are very worthwhile reads as we remember a fine gentleman and offer condolences to his family, friends and all those whose lives he enriched.

Of course, as Harry would want it, the game of golf and those who love it carry on, and so we also provide some interesting 2017 year in review pieces from Golf Canada's John Gordon, along with news on the top national rankings of BC's Universtiy/College men's and women's teams.

Sure to be of interest for golf fans of all ages is the upcoming Vancouver GOLFEXPO next month at the PNE Forum, and to help with that we have a BC Golf discount code for adult tickets available online now (kids get in FREE).

If you have any thoughts or suggestions on topics you'd like to see appear going forward in your newsletter please send a message via the "Contact Us" button located top right on the website home page.
