Little wins fourth Senior Women's title; Horwood takes top spot in Super-Senior Championship

Jackie Little won her fourth British Columbia Golf Senior Women’s Championship in addition to placing first in the Mid-Master Championship on Thursday at Vernon Golf and Country Club; while Holly Horwood took home top honours in the Super-Senior Championship.

Sixteen year old Alex Francois advances to the Canadian Open Qualifier

Sixteen year old Alex Francois of Burnaby, BC advanced to the Monday qualifier stage of the Canadian Open on Monday.  Francois was one of eight players who qualified, with 3 other BC residents - Adam Cornelson of Langley, Kevin Stinson of Mission and Ryan Williams of Vancouver playing at Marine Drive Golf Club.

Francois is well known in BC golf junior circles.  He captured the 2014 CN Future Links Pacific Championship and was the winner of the 2013 BC Juvenile Boys Champiionship, seven strokes ahead of the second place finisher.  His sister Sumie also won the 2013 Juvenile Girls event.

Canadian Golf Magazine has named Bowen Island Golf Club one of the country’s must-play nine-hole courses. The 3,003 yard, par-35 course is located just a short 20 minute ferry ride from the lower mainland an offers a picturesque back drop to the challenging course.
