Lu comes from behind to win the 112th BC Amateur in a play off

After a thrilling five-hole play off, Jordan Lu won the 112th British Columbia Amateur Championship presented by Blue Shore Financial at Seymour Golf and Country Club on Friday.

Lu birdied the final hole of regulation play; a 558-yard par 5, to finish Even (284) for the Championship tied with Michael Belle, and forced a sudden-death play off to determine the 2014 champion.

Ferreira cruises to victory at 21st Washington State Women’s Amateur; Murdoch wins her second Senior Women’s Amateur

Jordan Ferreira of University Place, Wash. shot an even-par 72 in today’s final round to win the 21st Washington State Women’s Amateur by four shots. Alison Murdoch of Victoria, B.C. came from behind to win the 15th Washington State Senior Women’s Amateur, while Carol Dick of Lakewood, Wash. went wire-to-wire in winning the Inaugural Washington State Super Senior Women’s Amateur.

British Columbia golfers to compete in prestigious championship

RICHMOND, BC (British Columbia Golf) – Kevin Carrigan and Kevin Kwon are set to compete in the 21st installment of the Sahalee Players Championship, a prestigious competition of the top amateur golfers from around the world, to be contested June 30 – July 2 at the Sahalee Country Club in Sammamish, Wash.

Take a kid to the course

RICHMOND, BC (British Columbia Golf) – Over the past few years there has been a troubling trend across Canada of declining participation in junior golf. In an effort to spark interest in the game and inspire a new generation of golfers, the National Golf Course Owners Association Canada created “Take a Kid to the Course”.

Kim hangs on to win the Women's Amateur Championship

Taylor Kim finished at 10-under to win the title at the 111th British Columbia Golf Women’s Amateur at Kamloops Golf and Country Club on Friday.

Kim shot -2 on Friday to finish out a week of exceptional play, winning her first title at a British Columbia Golf Championship. The Team Canada member was already 2-under at the turn and only bogeyed once on number 15 that proved to be just a slight speed bump on the way to the title.

Naomi Ko wins 2014 Junior Girls' Championship

Naomi Ko won the 2014 British Columbia Golf Junior Girls’ Championship title at The Dunes at Kamloops on Friday with a 6-under par 286 after four days of competitive play.

The Team Canada member shot even par on the par-73 5886-yard course on the final day of the Championship on her way to winning the title.

The second edition of 2014 for the popular contest saw more than 600 golf fans tee it up with two participants making every right choice.
