Former British Columbia Golf Junior Girls Champion performing well at Pinehurst

RICHMOND, BC (British Columbia Golf) – Former British Columbia Golf Junior Girls’ Champion, Sue Kim, is putting up an impressive showing at the US Women’s Open at Pinehurst Resort and Country Club.


After two days of competition Kim rests in the top 20 at +4 (T16 at time of publication) eight strokes behind current leader, Michelle Wie (-4).

The Langley golfer won the British Columbia Golf Junior Girls’ Championship in 2005 at 14 years old and again in 2008 when she bested the second place finisher by seven strokes.

16-year-old amateur golfer Brooke Henderson of Smith Falls, Ontario also currently sits in the top 20 with +3 (T10 at time of publication) as the only other Canadian player inside the projected cut.
